Dear All - I am researching the BARNES family of West Sussex, living mainly in the Petworth-Northchapel-Storrington area and adjoining parishes. Do have one member John, who with his wife, Charlotte, nee WOOLFORD, emigrated to Canada, to the Toronto area, in 1836. He apparently had a brother already living in Pennsylvania, although I have been unable to identify this brother as no-one appears to be missing! Also spent two years researching an entirely unelated Barnes family from Boughton under Bleane and Waltham in Kent. (This family were predominantly saddlers). If anyone has a connection to either family I would be delighted to hear from them). Regards Joan Barnes
