Hi, I have traced my Barns family back to Hugh Barnes. I have recently been advised of the documentation that Hugh's father was Robert Barns. I believe that Hugh was born in Kentucky, he was married in Kentucky and died in Indiana. I would like to find information on his father, all I have is the name Robert. My line is as follows. Anna3 Barns, born February 01, 1794 in Nelson County, Kentucky; died April 14, 1863 in Owen Co., Indiana. She married Henry Devore Abt. 1817 in Kentucky; born August 01, 1795 in Bracken Co., Kentucky; died January 01, 1888 in Owen Co., Indiana. 3 ii. Elizabeth Barns, born December 15, 1796 in Kentucky; died February 28, 1866 in Owen Co., Indiana, buried Shiloh Cemetery. She married Joseph Thompson Clark March 28, 1822 in Owen co., Indiana, by Shad. Brown, M. G.; born March 19, 1793 in Pennsylvania; died April 27, 1869 in Owen Co., Indiana. 4 iii. James Montgomery Barns, born April 04, 1799 in Kentucky; died July 18, 1863 in Owen Co., Indiana. He married Matilda Wilson August 27, 1829 in Owen co., Indiana; born Abt. She married Isaac N. Teel December 04, 1823 in Owen co., Indiana; born May 21, 1800 in Kentucky; died November 13, 1847 in Miller Twp., Gentry Co., Missouri.
