    1. [BARNES] Frederick Barnes/Prudence Norwood Barnes
    2. Herbert Barnes
    3. Still looking for the above two. I have been told Frederick and Prudence are buried near Mt Morn or Mooresville. Does anyone connect with this family? I am attempting to locate the parents, the siblings, and the children of one Frederick Barnes and any of his descendents or ancestors, especially the ancesters and siblings. Here is what I know. Frederick Barnes b. cir 1792, possibly in Northampton Co., NC, Married to Prudence Norwood Children: Susanna b.cir 1829, Samuel Mosely(my gr-grandfather)b.July 03, 1831, John Norwood b.cir 1833 (killed in the battle of Seven Pines on May 30, 1863), Judia or Judith b.cir 1835, Penelope b.cir 1837, Mary H b.cir 1840. The above family appeared on the 1850 census of Iredell Co., NC as dwelling # 1496 and family # 1506. Samuel Mosely Barnes Married Rutha Alley. There were 7 children, all males. Frederick Whitfield (my grandfather), James Alfred, John Henry, Lee H, Samuel b. abt 1865, Thomas Walter, and Marion. It is said that after serving in the Civil War, 4th Regiment Co. A from Iredell Co., Samuel Mosley moved his family to Texas in 1873. He finally obtained land at McCoy, Kaufman Co., TX(I was born on that land). I have much info on the Frederick Whitfield and John Henry families, but I need all other sibling and/or ancestor info. Again, especially ancester and sibling info. Can anyone connect with this family or provide me with any little tidbit of information? If so, I will be eternally grateful. I will share my information. Thank You Herbert Frederick Barnes, Dallas, TX
