BARNES, Erin Anne LANDER - Funeral services for Erin Anne Barnes, 18, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in Lander Community Center by Pastor Scott MacNaughton. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Nov. 6, in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, in Lander. Erin died Oct. 31, 2003, in an automobile accident in Colorado. Born June 5, 1985, in Lander, she was the daughter of William "Dean" and Katherine Jo "Kathy" Barnes; graduated from Lander Valley High School in May; and was a student at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. >From an early age, she was involved in dance, participating in classes and recitals. She participated in numerous sports and activities at LVHS, including the Art Club and Let's Go Mexico. She also had become a certified nursing assistant while still in high school. The summer before her senior year, she traveled to Belize to help lay the foundation for a new church and assisted children there. Her goal after college was to join the Peace Corps. Survivors include her father; mother; brother, Mitchell Dean Barnes; grandparents, Earl "Booge" Frank, Bill and Marylyn Barnes and Mary Ann and Darrel Richardson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
