Seeking any further information regarding Samuel R. Barnes, born in Nelson County, Kentucky about 1799-1810. One unconfirmed source states he was born there in 1813. He may have married a woman with the last name Norris in Nelson County. Samuel's parents were Elijah Barnes and Rachel Willcocks also of Nelson County. Elijah was the son of James Barnes who died in Nelson County in 1795. When Elijah Barnes died in 1845, he listed Edwin F. Barnes in his Will as his grandson. Edwin F. is thought to be the son of Samuel R. Barnes. At this time I do not know if Edwin stayed in Nelson County, Kentucky. Information recently revealed states Samuel R.
