My Samuel Estes Barnes was born in Somerset, Pulaski County KY. on March 12, 1857 to Thomas Jefferson Barnes and Mary Ellen Ping. Samuel left KY. as a young man and went to Searcy County Arkansas, where he met and married Palymra Tennessee Shaver. They had eight children. Samuel died 27, January, 1941 in Gans, Oklahoma. Palmyra, was the daughter of Joseph P. Shaver and Nancy Kizer/ Kiser. Thomas Barnes Father was Enoch Barnes and his Mother was Eunice Barnes, they were cousins.
