    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: CarolynCarroll3226 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.barndollar/24.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello cousin, please email me directly at [email protected] I reside outside of Everett but Everett was my hometown until last year when I ventured five miles north of Everett. I wrote a Book on the Barndollar's in 1995 and hosted the Barndollar Reunion in honor of Everett's 200th anniversary. I do have Nathan Dushane Hynson and Eliza Piper Barndollar in my database but don't have any children for them, so I am excited to get new updates for my Barndollar family. Also tell family about me and I will gladly give them a Barndollar tour if anyone decides to visit Everett. Everett was founded by our grandfather Michael Barndollar in 1795. Author: CarolynCarroll3226 Surnames: Barndollar Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.barndollar/24.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Barndollar Family Bible has been sent to Donna Nelson who will copy all contents. Then the bible and the contents will be mailed or brought to Everett PA so that I can place the bible on loan to the Union Hotel for display. The Union Hotel was built in 1808 by Michael Barndollar left un-attended the building faced doom. Two local business men bought the Hotel and have put Millions of dollars into it. It will be a higher class Restaurant (not a dinner or fast food). The Union is scheduled to open Spring or Summer 2008. The bible will be on display there and Donna and I agreed to figure out a Male Young Barndollar to put as the owner of the bible (who is from that direct line). Many thanks to Jim Garman who returned this bible back to our family. A reminder; if anyone has old Barndollar photos, bibles, documents please photo copy and sent them to me, scanned copies are great for photos and documents. I will place copies in several local historical societies and libr! aries. Remember any of your descendants doing research will end up back in Everett aka Bloody Run, Bedford Co., PA. Copies is all we ask for!!!! Please HELP!!!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. B-1 & B-4 Town rallying to save Civil War-era ginkgo tree in Everett, Bedford County By Daniel Malloy ...Faced with the prospect of losing the 65-foot landmark, the Everett Free Library, which owns the property... ... Everett, then known as Bloody Run, was founded in 1795 by a man named Michael Barndollar. When three of Mr. Barndollar's great grandsons left in 1862 to fight for the Union in the Civil War, they were presented with three gingko trees, planted outside of their houses. The fate of the other two have faded into history, leaving only James Barndollar Williams' tree, his old house now occupied by the library. It was an exotic gift. Known as "living fossils," (photo-of tree in front of house/library?) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I knew this bible existed and was actually in the hands of an adopted person, I tried to express that the bible should be returned to Everett, PA. I would love to have it to be put on display at the Bloody Run Historical Society (which is now Everett, PA) and also the Union Hotel build by Michael Banrdollar the grandfather of the William Piper Barndollar in the bible. Please contact me at [email protected] At the least I would love photo copies of the pages, plus the inside front cover so I can get it placed in our local historical societies. I wrote a book on the Barndollar's in 1995 and am now in the process of doing a Book vol two which will contain all my notes, proofs, records, Photos and data.
