I have been doing some research on Eben Norton Horsford. In a book he published -- "Discovery of America by Northmen - Address at the Unveiling of the Statue of Lief Eriksen - Delivered in Faneuil Hall Oct. 29, 1887," Boston, Houghton Mifflin & Co., 1888 -- there is found at p. 54 a reproduction of a fascenating old map of New England and Acadia. Horsford attributes it as a reproduction of "a very precious original autograph map in the collection of Mr. S. L. M Barlow." Do you have any idea where I could begin to search to see where this map might be located today, or how to find more information about it? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Terry J.
