Charles Willis Barlow, 1863-1940, was the son of John Newton Barlow and Emeline Murrell. I found this account of his marriage to Mary Calista Henderson, which took place December 16, 1884, in Lyndon, Osage County, Kansas: from the Eskridge Star, Thursday, Dec.25, 1884, page 4, col. 1: It seems that "getting married" is becoming quite a rage among our young people of late, and we don't know as much blame is attached to the fact either, for the weather of the last few days has been terribly cold, and a scheme of that kind is well planned. The last ones that have been reported to us as "skipping the golden gutter" were Willis Barlow and Miss May Henderson of Harveyville, which even took place one evening last week. We wish the happy couple all the good luck in the world, and hope the many little joys of life will brighten their matrimonial pathway. Cheryl White in Kansas
