Fabulous. I would love to have your information. Yes, some of this was just guessing on my part as I said. So I also guess that proves James Morrison is the son of Jesse and Mary Morrison. DO you know anything of the story Carol Parks sent about Mary Barlow Arnold leading the women and children from Ark to Oklahoma. She would like to prove that story. Some of those stories just can't be proven though. Thanks so very much for sharing. I still live here in Gallatin County, and work at the courthouse. I can tell you that I don't think Jesse and Benjamin are brothers. My research (i.e. probates) shows that Thomas is the father of Benjamin. Then Benjamin married Jesse's daughter Sarah. Jesse is on the (I think I don't have my records in front of me) 1810 census of Montgomery County, TN. Sarah Ann's mother was Mary Morrison, he married three times. I have an original letter from a Benjamin and Sarah Barlow to his mother Mrs. Jane Kurby dated 1793(there are several other documents also) a. In this letter it mentions a brother Jesse and sisters Elizabeth and Rebecca. He also mentions a Thomas Johnston. b. The letter is sent to Berkley County, VA. c. The Benjamin and Sarah have to be a previous generation and in fact I think the brother Jesse must be another Jesse than the one that lived in Gallatin County. d. If you will notice on the 1850 census page 378A household 48 there is a Rebecca Kerby living in the household of Jane Barlow and this is next door to Jesse. I will be glad to copy these documents after Christmas and mail them to you. I would also be glad to send you a copy of my gedcom. I received some of the info from my great Aunt Cora. She did a little booklet on her mother, Sarah Mariah Barlow and her father, William Smith's families. I descend as follows: Jesse and Mary Morrison Barlow and Thomas and Elisabeth Barlow Benjamin Barlow and Sarah Ann Barlow Thomas Jefferson Barlow and Margaret Capeheart Sarah Mariah Barlow and William Smith Lula Mae Smith and Edward P.
