Hello everyone! My name is Kem Barlow and I am trying to find out information regarding the ancestry of James B. Barlow, born ca 1795 either in Fayetteville, NC, or possibly Fayette County, NC. I believe his father's name was Thomas, but I am not 100% sure. James B. Barlow married Sarah Biggs, but I am not sure of the date. Sarah, herself, also was born either in Fayetteville, NC or Fayette County, NC. I actually have 2 different years of birth for her, one being 1805 and the other being 1812. I do have a picture of her tombstone, and it lists 1805 as being the year of her birth. I also have other documents relating her year of birth as 1812, so there is some confusion there as well. I don't know anything of their ancestry. If anyone knows anything about this family prior to their moving to Mississippi ca 1850, please write me. Here is a list of their children: 1. Pernurio (spelled different ways, also known as Permano) Barlow, born in 1832 in NC 2. Ann J. Barlow, born in 1835 in NC 3. Alex Barlow, (Alexander Barlow), born in 1838 in NC 4. Elisha A. Barlow, born in 1840 in TN 5. Bolata M. Barlow, born 1841 in MS 6. James E. M. Barlow, born in 1844 in MS I do not know what county Pernurio, Ann, Alex, or Elisha were born in, but I believe that Bolata and James were born in Marshall County, MS. Please write me if you know anything about the history of this family. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
