To those who responded: DNA Test Cost: 12 marker $99 25 marker $169 37 marker $229 Upgrade cost 12 - 25 $99 25-37 $59 12- 37 $ 149.00 It takes about 5-8 weeks to test or upgrade, and cost more doing it in steps, but I would suggest any begin with a minimum of 25 step, the 12 marker test always leaves you wanting for more. We really do need to get on the ball, our group only has 13 volunteers thus far. Most of the projects are so much farther ahead than we are, perhaps we are only a small group. I do have a cousin who is going to try to put together one of those fancy charts, perhaps that is why our group is not doing so well, because we have a 'dummy' administrator who cannot explain it well to them. :-) I wish I could understand it better. Or if any one of you think you could take care of this, I'd be happy to let them take it over and try to get the ball rolling. I for sure am not a salesperson. I know we have folks out there who don't have a clue what family they come from, and we have others who know, but we need comparison test for those of us who don't. Like, Edmund of Malden, George of Sandwich, Jonathan and Plain Rogers, etc.. and I do also know many of you are willing, but have no male Barlow's to test. Get on the ball, and hunt em' down. Computers can do wonders these days. My family has feelers out everywhere for a descendant of Branson Barlow to test. Remember the test is just a swab inside the mouth mailed in..only takes a second or two, and your name doesn't have to be public if you don't want it to be, we can give you a number instead. All is private, the only person who actually sees anything that you don't want them to is myself, and I promise I ain't talking cept' to you guys on this list.
