Jerry Dagenhart has sent a few more images, but more important, he has shared with us stories handed down from his family, giving life to our kinfolk better than dates and such. He is writing a book he will call "Carolina Folklore", these stories he feels are true, but not having proof, other than word of mouth through the years, will be considered as folklore. Most are of Susie Pennell Barlow's second husband, William F. Pennell, aka Mean Bill Pinion, who was also her second husband after Larkin Carlton Barlow's death in the Civil War. They are at: http://www.barlowgenealogy.com/BOB/BraxtonBarlow-Carlton.html One story may a bit more controversial has been posted on the John Jr. page, concerns his marriages to Nancy Rash and Betsy Kendall. I hope that nobody will be offended by this story, it is just that, but Jerry would like some proof of this, thus it is posted. Any negative comments should be directed to Jerry, not to the list, please. jlynndagenhart@netzero.net I love the stories, it gives life to our kinfolk...and we all have black sheep in the family..I for one, love the wild west characters, always wishing I could find a famous outlaw to be a part of my family...not today, but in the past!
