Hello, I am still looking for information re the ancestry of James B. Barlow, born ca 1795 in NC, and Sarah Biggs Barlow, his wife, born in NC ca 1805. I know their descendants, but I don't know their ancestry. If anyone can help me, please write me. Thank you! Kem Barlow --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? I am trying to find out information re James B. Barlow, born in NC ca 1795, and his wife, Sarah Biggs Barlow, born ca 1805 in NC. They moved to Marshall County, MS ca 1840. I found them on the 1850 census in Marshall County, MS. James B. Barlow is not on the 1860 census, but the rest of his family are on the 1860 Marshall County, MS. I would like to know the ancestry of both James B. Barlow and Sarah Biggs Barlow. I am also trying to find out what happened to James B. Barlow and possibly where he is buried. Something happened to him apparently ca 1856, but nobody seems to know what. It would be great if some of these questions could be answered. You might want to look up "Barlow descendants and allied families". There is a whole lot of information there. I'm looking for some information on Arthur Thomas Barlow. he was born about 1842 in Swinton, Yorkshire. According to my MIL, he had 3 wives. There needs to be at least 2 wives because the second one would have been too young to have had the first of his children. The last wifes name was Grace arthurs and she had 2 children Gertrude and Sidney in the 1890's. The oldest child I've found was born in 1865. His parents names are Francis Barlow and Eliza, but I have no other information Carmen Upton Wife to Royrie 3/11/01 Mum To: Chloe-Anne Constance 14/6/02 http://www.geocities.com/chorkette/chloeanne.html Adrian Geordi 25/10/03 http://www.geocities.com/chorkette/AdrianGeordiUpton.html Victoria Jennifer 25/10/03 http://www.geocities.com/chorkette/victoriajenniferupton.html See pictures of us at: http://au.photos.yahoo.com/chorkette _________________________________________________________________ E-mail just got a whole lot better. Hello: I am scanning in the thousands of headstone pictures that I have collected over the years and I have one that has the following inscription on it. Unfortunately, the first letter or two of the first name did not show in the picture. If it belongs to anyone, please let me know and I will send it to you. I did not write the name of the cemetery on it either. I am ashamed of myself for being so sloppy. --osie Barlow Darnell Jan. 12, 1897 Mar. 17, 1965 Jackie A family tree can wither if no one tends its roots - Please visit our web site: thehouseofjossey-josey.org And my personal Josey web page MY JOSEY FAMILY

Susan, I'm still reseaching William and Edith Barlow. Father and Mother of my Morgan Tilman Barlow ( 2nd wife Emma Frances Barlow) Maggie
Thank you, I have the information for which I was searching. Someone sent me the indexes and I searched them out. Also, I keep forgetting about the family history site having 1880 indexes...but am now using them. The folks I was looking for were adults...Preciate your time in looking though. I still have had no contact with these Barlows in Georgia. All of these folks have invalid e-mail addresses except 3, and I haven't heard back from those 3. Guess nobody's interested. But I am making slow, but a lot of progress in updating that database. Have added many, many census images, new family members, and some marriage, death and burial information, and even a bit of military records to them. Would love to find land and other records, but at present, having had any luck finding them in the records available to me. BLM doesn't have Georgia records... Thanks... Susan
Leona Muckelroy has contributed photos of Thomas Hart Barlow, Anna Carteman Barlow and their children, Florence and Annie. For those of you interested, they can be seen at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~barlow/Families/AlfredHirton/alfred32.html Hope this is your family, and that you have something new to add to your trees. Thanks a bunch Leona. Susan

Hey all...I just tried to contact the researchers of the above mentioned Barlows, and most of the e-mails bounced. If you are a researcher of that family, please contact me at: sbarlowholmes@classicnet.net Thanks, Susan
Thank you Cy Kal.......I have the index...came out wonderful. Does anyone know how I might contact Ken Jones, of the Robeson Co Barlow's....Lachlin Neil Barlow? His e-mail is invalid that I have. Love, Susan
Susan, I believe the the 1880 census index is now available on the LDS Family History site--the same one they put on CD several years ago. As I told you all, I'm working on the Georgia pages on the Clearinghouse, and thus far have uploaded and transcribed all of 1850 and 1860 census and images for Barlow in Georgia. Have all of 1870 loaded, ready to transcribe. I don't however, have a census index for 1880, if someone would be kind enough to send me to my e-mail address: sbarlowholmes@classicnet.net a copy of the 1880 index for Barlow in Georgia only...I would so much appreciate it. Check other spellings also: Barlowe, Barlo, and Barloe. I need page number, county, and division if possible. In some year, I may have all of the Barlow's all over the U.S. posted from 1790 to 1930. That is my goal anyway. Love, Susan
Patricia, Thanks for a good explanation of what is going on with the virus and what should be done. That said, let us completely drop the subject of this virus. If someone needs additional explanation, send an e-mail privately to Patricia or to me ... or check out any of the news stories on the worm/virus. Now, back to Barlow genealogy ...
