    2. I have just learned that one of our DNA volunteers who currently has only 12 markers, but has upgraded to 37...his ancestors are those of Thomas Barlow and Elizabeth Nicholas of Tennessee and Illinois. The 12 marker test shows an exact match to John of Fairfield, as well as several other persons on the 12 marker only. Below is what I already have on the family... http://barlowgenealogy.com/Families/ThomasBarlow-ElizabethNicholas/Thoma sBarlow-ElizabethNicholas.html but I have new information that will be added asap. Will be out of town for the most of the next two weeks..going to Atlanta, and then to New Hampshire for my sons wedding at Castle in the Clouds. 3. I read an article in Everton's Genealogical Helper by Cindy Thomson which really interested me, and though this does not concern the surname Barlow directly, I asked and received permission from the author to reproduce it here for all to see. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did, and find some of the information and links useful. It helped me immensely, now if I could just afford to travel to the cities where this information is stored:) http://www.barlowgenealogy.com/Resources/scots-irish.html For future reference, this is indexed on the options page of the Barlow Genealogy website, under Genealogical Research Helpers.
