Your are correct! On that census the wife's name is Mary. My family records show that her name was acually Mary Elizabeth Brown who was first married to Samuel Porterfield. Some records (such as marriage records of her children show Mary and others Elizabeth). It is all the same person in this case. Thanks for your interest!
