In researching the Military records of another ancestor in my Hewitt line I ran across some English Military records for a Richard Barker who was a private in the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers on the March 18, 1767 muster rolls at Newcastle on the Tyne. He remains on their rolls from March 18, 1767 through July 29, 1771. He served in England and Scotland. I hope this is helpful to some one out there.
