Welp, after I dug a bit more I find that there are gedcoms at rootsweb online detailing some more information on this family. You are right about Kate's name. Didn't know that. When I lived in Chicago as a child I thought I was related to them and that's why we lived in "shame"... later I learned it was because we were Cherokee Indian through my grandmother who was a CANTON not a Barker. Funny how kids think. Anyway the gedcom site is http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi and I usually try to put in just the surnames in the surname blank and spouse blank. Or I use the complete name of someone in the first section. Adding the other stuff just makes it harder to find. There were four posters on this family... good luck (also lists more wives names). Thanks for all the information! When I moved to Detroit people would ask are you kin to Ma Barker, I answered yes cause I thought they was refering to my grandma.
