Funny how they just disappear, isn't it! I had a John G. Barker b. 1824 in Vermont who was said to have gone to Missouri by 1862. His father was James Barker also of Vermont. I have never been able to find him and I have his whole family. John G. Barker b. 1824, Vermont Mary B.D. (wife) b. 1832, Canada Children: Gardner Barker b. 1845, NY Lucy Barker b. 1847, Canada James Barker b. 1849, Michigan Fistus Barker b. 1851, Michigan Mary Barker b. 1854, Iowa One of my great uncles named James went by Joshua at time.
