The last Barker I have so far is William Clearence Barker, Born < 1790, England. I have alot to do in the states, then I'm headed for England. Let me know if you think we have the same William. Hello All, I've noticed the recent messages about Barkers from England. My Barker line originated in Todmorden, Lancaster, England. Young Barker and his wife, Sarah Collinge, came to the U.S. in 1884/85 with their four young children, Susannah, Selina, Sarah Jane (my g-grandmother), and Thomas, settling in Little Falls, Herkimer, New York. I have recently acquired certified birth certificates for the girls, and the marriage certificate of Young and Sarah. Through this, I have finally learned Young's father's name of John Barker and his mother, Sarah Dewhirst; John was deceased in 1875 when Young and Sarah were married. I know nothing of his mother. There are still some Barker descendants living in New York and North Carolina and I have been in touch with two of them, but I'm stumped going any further back than John. I'm not sure if anyone else has these names in their lines, but if you do, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Other children's names include Livingston, Fred, Mary, and Wallace; all dying in infancy except Livingston. Thank you, Linda Johnson

I am also still looking for Barkers who were from Bradford in the early part of the 1800s. I have been at my brick wall for about 5 years. If anybody can help me find the parents of Mary Barker, born 1786 at Bradford, I will be most happy.
