Pat, I do believe that you are on the right track. I am descended from William Nicholas Barker through his son John Barker. On a family group sheet prepared in 1982 by a family member, Amanda is listed as child number 13 born 1856 and had married William Roddy. I have quite a bit of information on William Nicholas Barker, including his service in the Texas-Mexican Revolution. Hi Lynda Saw your email and realized we had not talked for awhile. Hope everything is going well for you. I spent the summer getting caught up on copying census records on all the syblings of my direct descendents. I have some on Elizabeth Barker Parker and William Nicholas Barker. If you are interested in copies of them send me your snail mail address of the list and will get them out this week. I had a hard time locating Sarah Barker Webb, and Louisa Barker Nettles. Do you have any clues where they might have lived? I've not been able to find any information aboout their deaths either. Need to get back to work on lesson plans for school this week.
