I need help trying to put this family together. James Barker Sr. b. VT ca 1797 and wife Mary had children: James Jr.(1812, John G.(1824), William (1827), and Racheal (1838). Since there are gaps in birthdates, I assume there were other children. I believe James Sr. served in the war of 1812 so that would explain the first gap. He also may have served in other wars, like the Blackhawk War? Does this fit with any Barker family you have? They were from Stannard, Caledonia County, VT. Later Delaware Co, Iowa (1856) Nebraska and Colorado. Coral in California
