    3. From my research it appears there's a Northern branch and a Southern branch to the Barker lines. Those from the North East/Canada and migrated to the midwestern states and onto California or the West Coast, and those from Virginia went further South. It would be nice if they would all get on this list and help us find our brick walls... I have found most of my family that is still in Illinois are computer illiterate and want nothing to do with the "dang thing". That includes cousins who are in their thirties and forties... I can't imagine being without it. I found my husband's entire THOMAS line using the computer... and Thomas is a very common name, so it was difficult following a paper trail without the help of the computer, I'd still be searching I am sure. I'm just curious as to whether or not my John G. Barker was married to someone when he had three sons by Lucetta Lusk? And what his nationality is, I am assuming it's English. But there are also BARKERs among the Melungeons and its a curiosity to say the least.
