I would also guess that my Williiam H Barker was William Henry also. I feel sure he was born in Ballard Co, KY. His parents were Sterling Barker and Louann (Rotten). The family moved to Parker Co, TX bky 1860. Louann died inn 1860 of consumption (TB). Their daughter Lucindy Elizabeth married John H Cook in Miss Co, MO in 1855 who were my ancestors. I have been searching for the parents of Sterling and Louann for a long time with no luck. Sterling was born in NC in 1811 and Louann was born in TN in 1814. She was reported to be full blood Cherokee Indian. I dont think the U. S. census listed native americans on the census until after 1900.
