I'm glad that I am not the only one having problems with the Barker Line--My husband could not even tell me his grandfathers correct name because he had passed away and the grandmother later remarried a Bettis--I find the names you are coming up with very intriguing though. Ron's grandfather turns out to be Franklin Lewis Barker and his son--my father in law was Ross Dee Barker. The Uncle James was never married and lived for some time before his death with my in-laws and they inherited the farm in Clio, Wayne County, Iowa. There was also a brother Joe of My father-in-law and a brother Charley as well as a sister Coral and a sister Coy. If any one is interested in this connection please let me know. Good luck with your searches. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeannie Travis" <askgranny@juno.com> To: <BARKER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 01, 2002 10:00 AM Subject: Re: [BARKER] Joe Barker > > Well , this is Jeannie in gloomy , rainy Middle TN...up near the KY > border near Fort Campbell, KY !
