Hi Sue, Thanks for your response, I do appreciate your time. You are correct, that LDS search did reveal my Joshua Paul Gustavus Barker who married Hannah Mary Kent. Thanks for taking the time to research that for me. I am sending you what little I have on the General Barkers I have located. Between the years 1860 & 1934, our USA Barker ancestors discussed their cousin, a General Barker in England , who had fought in one of the Boer Wars. Using those dates as a rough guideline here are the General Barkers I have located; my guess would be Major General Sir George Barker K.C.B., of Salt Hill near Chichester: Born 1894: ************************************************************* http://www.kcl.ac.uk/lhcma/locreg/BARKER5.html King's College London Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives Survey of the Papers of Senior UK Defence Personnel, 1900-1975 Name BARKER, Sir George (1849-1930), Major General Major General Sir George Barker K.C.B., of Salt Hill near Chichester: Sir George was the father of General Sir Evelyn Hugh Barker.
