Hi Was wondering if anyone on the list knows anything about the Martha, daughter of James and Charlotte, that is mentioned here? When she was born and who she married. This Barker family lived in Edgefield District SC in 1790 and sometime in early 1800's moved to Pickens District SC (the part which became Oconee County). Martha Barker was born about 1820 either in Edgefield or Pickens District SC. She married Daniel Hughes and in the 1860 census of Pickens District SC had three children (Jasper, Margaret, and James) Daniel and Martha became guardians of her sister Elizabeth's three children Mary, Joseph, and John Mulkey in 1876.
