He joined on 1 Jan 1864 and was wounded, losing his right arm. This file includes a copy of his discharge. I would like to see that it goes to someone who is researching this family. I have a picture of her that someone sent me. Am not sure who Frances' parents were, but my mother notice a strong resemblance to the Barkers even before I told her who the mystery lady was. Matter of fact, mom thought it was *her* mother as a young woman but my grandmother wasn't born until 12 years after this other Barker woman's picture was taken!
