A note of caution -- someone kindly sent me some data from Alvan Lyell Barger's journal, regarding George Barger of Clearfield Co., PA, and it has some serious conflicts with information on that family that I had previously obtained from other sources, including data from the Clearfield Historical Society, published obituaries of two of my wife's ancestors, and other references. At this point I haven't seen the "journal" itself, and am not in a position to judge which sources are correct -- but my question is, does anyone know how reliable A.L.B's journal is?
