Hello Bargers, I'm trying to locate any information on my gggrandmother Mary Ann BARGER, who married Ambrose Baker in Philadelphia, on 5 Mar 1849. They were married by the Rev. John Street. They had three children: Rachel Georgianna Baker b. 13 Jan. 1851, Ambrose Baker b. 12 Mar 1853 and Henry Baker b. 6 Jul 1861. This information was obtained from Pension Records for Ambrose who was killed serving with the 91st Reg. PA vols. I have not been able to find birth records, marriage records or even census records for either Ambrose or Mary. I cannot find the church affiliation of Mr. Street. From the pension records, I discovered that she was living with a Mr. John Deal in Phila., Pa. as husband and wife, although they were not married. Apparently the reason was that she did not want to give up her pension. I am presuming that she married Mr. Deal after 1878. Any information on this family will be greatly appreciated. Any idea's as to where I might search? Thank you, Joy
