    3. Good Morning, Friends & Cousins! Yesterday, the mailman brought me a note from Marty Sandler in southern Illinois. She is working on her husband's genealogy. His 4th gr-grandmother was Elizabeth Berger (Barger), wife of Andrew Holshuser, both of North Carolina. Elizabeth was George Henry Berger's grandaughter, by his son John. Elizabeth and Andrew settled in Union County, Illinois. Their daughter, Elizabeth Holshouser married Noah Irwin Corzine on 10 Oct 1839 in Union County, Illinois. If any of you have information on these people, or need some help with this line, please contact Marty: Marty Sadler 612 E. High Street Anna, IL 62906-1518 E-mail: moonbb1@midwest.net Also, Shirley left a message at the Barger Family History Society query page, asking for information on the parents and siblings of her gr-gr-grandmother, Alice Genieve Barger, b. 1852, d. 1912 Frederick Co., MD. She married Hezekiah (Ezra) Danner 18 May 1871 in Frederick County, MD. Death certificate states her parents were born in MD, but they may have been form PA or VA. It only gave the last name of her father and first name of her mother (looks like Mahalda). If you can help, please contact Shirley at crew4@ix.netcom.com Well, that's all for now. Enjoy the beautiful Fall weekend ahead. Susan Barger Donahue BARGER FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY 411 East Roosevelt Road Wheaton, IL 60187-5564 suzid@tripod.net P.S. It's not too soon to think about Christmas. Why not make up nice notebooks with a supply of pedigree charts, family group sheet forms, etc., to give to the young genealogists on your list. My students, who are all adults, tell me that their childrens' grade school teachers are using genealogy as a tool for teaching history. What a great idea! Give your little ones a head start, and spark their interest. I think there is something to be said for having young people write their own life stories. It just might make them think about how they would like to be remembered in their family's history. What better motivation for success!
