You said you were a cousin, but you didn't explain how in the note when you responded. Yes, my G grandmother, Winnie Barefoot, b. abt 1845, dau of Clarky Barefoot b. 1813. Clarky was the dau. of Noah Barefoot, b. 1793. I just wanted to know who you were and who your parents were. I have the Sue Cannady book, there are a lot of Mary's in the Barefoot family. I have a Mary E. Barefoot who was also a daughter of Clarky. Clarky had one son, and 3 daughters that we can prove. John R. m. Nancy Green, John's father was William Tart Mary E. m. Samuel Jacobs Winifred (Winnie) my g grandmother m. Silas West Faith or Faithy m. Jeremiah Langston The daughter's father was said to be Dennis Gainey sometimes called "Boy". I can't find him in the census at all. The son, John's father was white and the daughters father was Black. So they were considered Mulatto. Thanks for reading my post.
