I have been trying to locate my ggg grandmother Sarah/Sally Barefoot's parents for some time now, also of Indian ancestry. I am told by the elders in my family they are of Creek descent and I know just down in Alabama there are some Barefoot's listed on the Creek Nation census so this may be them. We found her just up in Tn and she was born around 1820 and resided in Obion County TN until her death in 1894 & buried in Shady Grove Cemetery. She was first married briefly to a Joshua Hill and after his death married James Hubbs for some time & had several children from this union. Any siblings are unknown as well as her parents.
