Helo, Clarkie/Clarky Barefoot. b abt 1812 was my 3rd great grandnither. She was not Cherokee. I am told that the Barefoot family originated from England. My 2nd great grandmother was Winifred Barefoot b. 1845 who married Silas West b. bet 1826-1832. Yes, there were John Robert, oldest, Mary E., Winifred (Winnie my great grandmother) and Faithy Barefoot all born in the Meadows Township, Johnston Co, NC. Yes Clarkie/Clarky's father was Noah Barefoot b. 1790. Johnston Co mostly likely. There is a Barefoot Book written by Sue Cannady Barefoot called " Barefoot Families of the South" It will give you a lof of background on the Barefoot family..Please E-Mail me at the Address below.
