Carolina. There were several Johns around Wayne, and Johnston Co's. The one I am looking for left the area and went to live in Ala., Monroe Co. He left his wife in Wayne Co., NC, she is shown in the 1830 Wilson Co., census living with 3 children. Her name was Peggy. Two of the boys were probably GW and twin brother Andrew Jackson Barefoot. I don't believe they came from James Barefoot's line. The John I am looking for was descended from Jeptha Barefoot.
