    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Barefoote, Wiggin, Sherburne Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VRC.2ACIB/235.1 Message Board Post: Elizabeth, did you ever receive a reply to your message? I would be very interested in knowing more about the Barefootes. I am connected through Sarah Wiggin who married Henry Sherburne. Sarah Wiggin's father was Thomas Wiggin, born 21 Aug. 1640, died 6 March 1727. His wife was Sarah Barefoote/Barford. According to (Pioneers, N.H., p13): "Barefoote, Walter, Captain, gent. Kittery, bought land and house of Capt. Champernowne, 1658; later home, Newcastle. A partisan of Charles II and of the Masons; and official in the Provincial govt., involved in many conflicts, 1679-1688. Will, 3Oct prob. 8 Oct 1688; sister Sarah, wife of Thomas Wiggin, Jr.; Cousin, John Lee and others." Somewhere I read that their father was Benedict Barefoote in England, but I did not take proper notes and so I cannot find the source. I would appreciate any information you can give me. Beverley
