This is really exciting to hear from another relative. My 2nd great grandmother was Clarky (Clarkie) Barefoot b abt 1813, Meadows, Johnston Co, NC. I am the great granddaughter of Winifred "Winnie" Barefoot who m. Silas West. Great aunt Mary E. Barefoot m. Samuel Jacobs. Are you a descendant of Francis E Jacobs and Solomon Lofton Williams? and are you related to Cousin Bertie Jacobs Boney? She is my 5th cousin through the Barefoot.Family. If so, we are cousins. Clarky had 1 son, John by a Tart man and 3 daughters that I can trace. She may have 2 more children, no proof yet. Dennis Gainey was the father of the 3 girls (Mary E, , Winifred and Faithy), maybe you know this. Dennis Gainey was a free slave I am told. Clarky was white and daughter of Noah Barefoot b. 1790.
