He was born in Edgecomb Co NC in 1823, had a twin brother named Andrew Jackson. I am trying to locate their father. He owned a grist mill in now Wilson NC, and had a large farming operation. We have not yet came across convincing evidence of his father. Although their is evidence he owned land in the same location as Jeptha Barefoot Sr. There was much land in his will distributed to his heirs. I have a suspicion his father may have been Jeptha's grandson through Noah. Their is a word of mouth history that GW's father was named John. Noah's son John we know inherited property, bot know very little about him other than he was bonded out to a John Morris when Noah died.
