I am currently using DNA to try and figure out my maternal family tree. I have a 4th cousin match who I am working with who has shared their tree with me and we both share an overlapping segment with a grandson of Nathan T Barefoot and Lina Peacock. >From what I can tell this family appears to have stayed in the same area along with the Tart, Peacock, and McLamb families. I am trying to create a tree for this family so that I can try and find a common ancestor with my 4th Cousin match and was wondering if there are any well documented compilations of this family that I may be able to get ahold of. I have started a tree, but there seems to be a few areas already with a lot of conflicting information. Most of my other match's family has stuck pretty much around the Louisiana area with names like Hutchinson, Jones, Shirey, George, not name a few off the top of my head. So on top of wondering if there is a compilation of this NC family I would also be interested to know if any of this branch split off to Louisiana. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
