In that lineage father = Allan Tomlinson Grandmother = Nancy (Barefoot) Tomlinson 3 generations = Isaac Barefoot and Mary Lucinda Bundrant 4 generations = Harden Bundrant and Mary Hancock I was able to trace a relation to Amon Carter of Texas through the Hancock family. My great aunt Mary (Mary Orr Russel of Reserve New Mexico) had contacted him years ago through her mother and grandmother's letters. (Her mother was Mary Lucinda Bundrandt and her grandmother Nancy Hancock Bundrant.) Amon Carter was a Texas Millionaire who founded the Amon Carter Museum. Nancy Hancock Bundrant's sister Mary Ann married a Carter and was the ?grandmother of Amon Carter. There was a rumor that we were related to John Hancock, but I was able to eliminate this possibility. The rumor was that John Hancock was an Uncle and one of like 7 or 9 brothers. This could not have been the famous John Hancock who had almost no family.) I had contact with some of her grandchildren though. I found out recently that this was because her son William married my aunt Gayle (they were first cousins). They had 3 kids Helen, William III, and Alice. If you have any info about the lineage of William Hancock I would be interested. William Hancock was too common of a name to research successfully.
