Noah Barefoot (without the G) was born in 1790 in Johnston Co. to Noah Barefoot and Rosannah (last name not known). His first wife's name is not known). He married second to Elizabeth "Lizzie" Godwin. He died about 1851. In his estate records at NC Archives, Bright Barefoot (his son and my line) was named administrator. Kilba Lassiter was named guardian to Nancy Barefoot Godwin wife of Hiram Godwin. Nancy was Noah's youngest child and even though married she was not 21 years old. This Noah and his first wife had children: Rosannah, Clarky, Bright, Ava Ann, Sarah (Sally), John, Noah B., Susan. Children of Noah Barefoot and Elizabeth Godwin: James R., Joel G., Nancy, Barbara. Mary J., Jerusha, Reddin, and Elizabeth. Hope this helps.
