NC census. He was 19 years old on the 1860 Sampson Co. census in the same household. BY the 1870 census he is dead with widow Jerusha and son Julius E. Jackson living with her mother in Johnston Co. It is possible that he was killed in the Civil War as he was a perfect age to be a soldier. Eden Jackson left a Sampson Co. NC will that named all his living children and his grandson Julius E. Jackson son of John W. Jackson, deceased in 1871. Eden Jackson was the son of Nancy Barefoot and James Jackson. Nancy Barefoot was the daughter of Noah Barefoot and Rosannah UNK. James Jackson was the son of Lewis Jackson and Martha UNK. Jerusha Barefoot was the daughter of Noah Barefoot and Elizabeth Godwin.
