I believe his parents were Benjamin Barefoot, b. 1764, and Rebecca Ross, b. 1769, both from Pennsylvania. I cannot seem to find a link beyond that point for the Barefoot name to see where they may have immigrated from. There has been much discussion in my family that it could be Irish, English, German, or Native American. Any suggestions on where to best search next would be most appreciated.
