I located a George W. Barefoot with a Dawes Packet [Check Fold3.com] who was applying for tribal affiliation with the Choctaw Nation. Also in the same packet is Sallie M. Barefoot [maiden name: Sallie Boone, parents: Thomas and Louisa Franklin Boone], Burton Barefoot, and Clifton or Clifford Barefoot. Sallie Boone Barefoot claimed to be 1/8 Choctaw. Hello Chris, How are you? I am fine. Nice to meet you. Who are your parents, grandparents, etc? I don't have you in my database. What is your last name? and where do you live? This is really exciting to hear from another relative. My 2nd great grandmother was Clarky (Clarkie) Barefoot b abt 1813, Meadows, Johnston Co, NC. I am the great granddaughter of Winifred "Winnie" Barefoot who m. Silas West. Great aunt Mary E. Barefoot m. Samuel Jacobs. Are you a descendant of Francis E Jacobs and Solomon Lofton Williams? and are you related to Cousin Bertie Jacobs Boney? She is my 5th cousin through the Barefoot.Family. If so, we are cousins. Clarky had 1 son, John by a Tart man and 3 daughters that I can trace. She may have 2 more children, no proof yet. Dennis Gainey was the father of the 3 girls (Mary E, , Winifred and Faithy), maybe you know this. Dennis Gainey was a free slave I am told. Clarky was white and daughter of Noah Barefoot b. 1790. Please get back to me. Thanks. This is great to hear from you. Alice West-Ferguson Greenbelt, MD In a message dated 7/20/2014 3:04:44 A.M. I've re-issued the book originally published in 1966 by my aunts: Barefoot-Withrow Familes with Choate and Mobley Genealogical Lines There are no up-dates in it. That's for later. Right now, this is for those who never were able to get a copy of the original that was a rather limited edition. https://www.createspace.com/4594316 Barefoot Barbara R. -- *============ "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." -- Robert A.
