Robin, I do not know for sure the parents of Miles P. Barefoot but in 1820 there was only one John Barefoot in Darlington, S.C. with family. There were three Barefoot heads of household listed in S.C in 1820-the other two were Noah and William Barefoot. Could you explain the connection to the Sion Barefoot family above in your E-mail.. I am a descendant of the Noah Barefoot b. 1790. We do have a Zion Barefoot in our family. Isabella died after 1870 Because My grandfather was listed as an orphan on the 1880 census. There only child,William J Born 1861 Died 1941. His nephew Samuel W, S/O William S., was born 1822 in Williamsburgh, SC. He was married to Adeline. After his death in CW she was alive and still single in 1873 according to SC Agriculture Census.

Ive just discovered a Barefoot in my "tree" Ellen Barefoot born about 1833 in[acording to various census Warwickshire?] married Charles Jarvis in Berkshire 1859, does she appear in any ones tree. Isaac was the brother of my William Allen Barefoot. I have never found that Isaac had any children by his other wives. He did have a stepson by his second wife and conducted the marriage ceremony for him in 1881. I have been told that Isaac had a son named for him about September 1900. Isaac Jr only lived about 3 months.
