Marilyn, My gggrandfather is a Joseph Barber. He was from VA, married Celia Jones 1830 in Franklin Co. VA. His 1st child Isaac was born in VA, the 2nd in IN and then on to MO. On the marriage bond he is listed as Joseph Barbour but signed as Joel Barber. He did not appear to be from Franklin Co. and I have felt that he was from Pittslyvania Co. and/or surrounding Co's. He was born in 1803 vs your 1808 Joseph. I have wondered why he was in IN when the 2nd child was born unless it was for further medical training (listed as a doctor in 1850 Taney Co, MO census) or because of family there. As you have probably guessed this is my WALL.any clues you may have would be appreciated. Thank you Joseph Grimes
