Just wanted to clarify to anyone that might be interested: Many people researching Elisha Barber, b 1787 who married Susannah Farmer also think he married Sarah Eddes. This is wrong. This Elisha; b 1787 married twice. He married 1st Jane mitchell in 1806. He married 2nd Susannah Farmer. The Elisha Barber who married Sarah Eddes, d of John Eddes, was the son of Joseph Barber. This Elisha remained in Pittsylvania Co., VA, with Sarah while Elisha and Susannah moved to Cabell(now Wayne) Co. VA. I would be interested in corresponding with anyone on this matter.
