    3. Linda, This reference to the "Cherokee by blood books" intrigues me. I'm not familiar with the books, but my husband's grandfather was half Cherokee and looked it, and my family has rumors of Cherokee ancestry, so I'd like to know if that's the title of the books and where can they be found? Is there anything like that online? My husband's greatgrandmother was called Mary Alabama Hardeman, and she was born in Montgomery in 1837. We thought her parents might have gone there to escape being sent to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears. If anyone knows anything about any Cherokee Hardemans or Hardmans, please let me know.
