I am another who has no ties to Moses Barber (I think?). The farthest I can trace my Barber/Barbours is to a Randolph Barber born about 1765, possibly the son of a David Barber of Pittsylvania Co, VA. Would love to have more information on him & his family/parents/siblings, etc. Want to get back to the 'boat' and his origins! Sincerely, Marilyn Barber Danville, IN
Hi Marilyn - Nice to see a Barber listing that may connect with mine - another non-Moses. I can't help you get to the boat - sorry - but my Abraham Barber, b. 1837, in one census claimed to be from Pittsylvania Co VA. At his marriage, he only gave the name of his mother - Barbary Barber. Do these names mean anything to you? Thanks in advance.
