I am interested in hearing if anyone on the BARBER list is researching English BARBERs. I have Norfolk BARBERs with some connections of WOODS, and HAYLETT. They came to Wood County, Ohio, US in the early 1900s. Also, I agree with a previous post concerning people not including state names with counties. The same might be true with counties and countries. In the US, many place names came from other countries of course. One last thought. It would also be helpful for listers to write all surnames in capitals in order for others to quickly scan. I am still quite a newbie in genealogy, but found this hint listed in books and online, and have found it helpful in use.
